12 January 2021: The coronavirus (Covid-19) continues to have an impact on our daily lives as we navigate our way as a country and as a business in an adjusted Level 3 lockdown. This period of turmoil will be with us for some while, and all we can do is to remain calm in the face of uncertainty.
We assure you that Dole South Africa remains committed to mitigating the spread of the virus across all its entities. Our Task Team continues to meet once a week to assess the needs and safety of our employees and to continually observe this very fluid situation closely. The health, safety and wellness of our employees remains our top priority.
As many businesses struggle to operate, as an exporter and supplier of fresh produce, it is imperative that we keep our supply chains open and continue with our core function of exporting – serving growers and consumers through our scale, trusted brand, and enormous sales network. We have adopted a hybrid working policy for now – the main aim to keep our employees safe and healthy.
