Hardus Augustyn

Hardus represented Dole South Africa in the 2023 Key Talent programme. At the time he was Dole South Africa’s Assistant Business Manager: Farms. With a strong financial background, Hardus was one of 24 other talented Dole plc colleagues who were nominated for the year.

“Growing up my dream was to become a farmer. When this was not possible, I became involved in Agribusiness and the fresh produce industry. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined the journey it would take me on, ” says Hardus.

“I had the privilege of spending time with colleagues from across the world – learning about myself, leadership, teamwork and business strategy.”

Today, Hardus is based in the Netherlands and holds the position of Commercial Finance Director, Dole Northern Europe. In this role he supports not only the management team in the implementation of the group commercial strategy, but also takes with him the knowledge and expertise he gained from his position in South Africa – opening up shared commercial opportunities for Dole. This appointment is testament to pur development focus and confirms the importance of continuous learning and preparation – to be ready when the right opportunity comes along!
