Rekopane Estates is situated in the Northern Cape, north of the Orange River between Upington and Keimoes and situated on Kanoneiland. This is conveniently accessible from the N14 national road, 25km from Upington Airport with sub divisional roads crossing the farm.

This region is ideal for grape production in South Africa due to its unique semi-arid climate and the steady supply of water from the nearby Orange River. This allows for the much needed irrigation and supports growth in otherwise harsh desert conditions. The Northern Cape’s intense summer heat and significant temperature fluctuations also contribute to the development of sweet and flavourful grapes – perfect for exporting to our customers and consumers.

Rekopane is 100% owned by Dole Africa Holdings since July 2018 and presents us with an ideal opportunity to control our own early grape season to the market.

PRODUCTION SEASON

Grapes are harvested here between November and January.
