Spot prizes, cool gear and fun rewards were on offer for our employees undertaking challenges, as teams and individuals, to raise funds for breast cancer screenings to women with limited access to medical facilities or funds.
Breast cancer education for our employees
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women. Worldwide, various initiatives are on the go to encourage women to undergo screenings so that the disease may be detected early, thereby improving the chances of successful treatment. In South Africa, the ILoveboobies campaign was established in 2016 to educate and perform clinical screenings for South African women who have limited funds and access to medical facilities. Dole is proud to partner with the ILoveBoobies charity during Wellness month – enabling screenings to more than 260 deserving women in 2024 and rolling out an education campaign to all its employees.
